American Indian Services, a non-profit organization serving Native American people, sought the services of Citrine Design to provide a new website to inform the broader community about its purpose and mission, and to serve Native people.
Citrine Design built a dynamic Content Management System with multiple templates, contact form, a news blog for building a larger online presence, and expandability to help collect donations from contributors. Further, Citrine Design wrote content for the organization based on adapting previously written information and creating new information as envisioned by the organization.
Search Engine Optimization, the activity of helping information seekers discover content online, was important in this project–the investments placed on the website rely on informing the general public and contributors of AIS’s purpose and services. Citrine Design built the website with semantic code and installed analytic software to track the influx of traffic to further optimize the website.
Resources and information from this organization is of a large range and quantity, thus information architecture is essential. Citrine Design created a logical schematic for the flow of information and designed the website with the end-user in mind. Intuitive nagivation and information retrieval is key to this and every project overseen by Citrine Design.
