Lightning Server-side MVC
Citrine Design develops web applications. From alpha to full release, we have worked with numerous projects to deliver pretty sweet programs. With PHP, ASP, and Java, Citrine Design implements Model-View-Controller patterns and frameworks to keep the code flexible and reusable. This reduces cost and resources used over time. Citrine Design can bring anything web, literally anything web, into existence with a server, notepad, and your ideas.
XHTML5CSS3XMLSVG...
Everything your browser 'sees' is HTML, CSS, and few other code langauges (HMTL-embedded SVG, Flash, etc). Citrine Design writes the stuff. HTML4, XHTML1, HTML5--the last being our new favorite; Citrine Design is one of few companies bringing this new technology to the web. CSS2.1, and CSS3, are the styling languages of which we are complete masters--we also know all the browser-specific hacks (we like living dangerously). Measurement + Analytics
Life is goal-oriented. Every action on the web is also goal-oriented. Super UX
Conversion, the point at which the user takes the action you desire, is a function of User Experience (UX). An attractive, and most importantly, usable, User Interface (UI) is key to establishing and improving your conversion rate. Of course, more than that is involved in winning the user over; text, aesthetics, accessibility, trust, and cool-factor (CF; a proprietary term used by Citrine Design) all factor into a UX, and conversion, win.
CMS Hacker
Citrine Design works with many commonly used Content Management Systems, and writes them as well. Joomla!, Drupal, Wordpress, OSCommerce, ZenCart, and other CMS's based on frameworks, have all been read and hacked inside and out by Citrine Design. We can write templates, plugins, extensions, and custom programs attached to pre-existing CMS's. And, of course, totally custom CMS programs for super-secure, super-custom web apps.

Black sheep Coffee: Seriously good stuff.
Black Sheep Coffee has fueled Citrine Design for years--increasing lines of code written per hour by 15%. Being a coffee aficionado, I knew this roasting house needed an easy and cool way for its customers around the United States to place orders and enjoy the all the work these folks put into their product.
By "cool way" I wanted to use JS animations and some fresh shopping cart methods to shorten the path to enjoying great coffee. Web technology, it would seem, is best utilized to minimize how much the user must use it. Thus fewer pageloads, instant effects, limiting information requested of the user, and brand new payment integration methods from authorize.net.
Black Sheep, having a broad and closely held community of patrons, could gain a lot from blogging. And so this site was developed on Wordpress. The administrative menus and navigation had the added benefits of a shallow learning curve for staff and management. It was surprisingly easy to use as a basis for an online store, with many ready-to-use functions and classes which are commonly used by the online store.
The design of the site was inspired by brush and canvas and was created in Photoshop. With plenty of adjustments to stock and other brushes, the effect came out quite nicely. Some CSS3 and browser-specific CSS were used to meet the design in photoshop and the Javascript animations and other effects all came together just right ;)
